Realm of Forms
Plato argued that because there are no perfect instantiations or pure exemplifications of abstract ideas, we therefore could not have come to conceptualize any concept. He saw this as evidence for a spiritual realm from which our spirits originated he called the Realm of Forms. The work in this series consists of textured geometric abstractions that elicit an emotional response in the viewer, despite the shapes within being far from perfect.
